Week 4 FanDuel Lineup & Cheat Sheet

How are your Daily Fantasy Football lineups doing so far, three weeks in? I’d say you probably had to deal with a lot more scoring than any of us expected, including Las Vegas. Before we get into the Week 4 FanDuel Lineups, let’s look back at Week 3.

There were four games that totaled over 65 points last week, and eight games that went over 50 points. And this was a week that Vegas figured would have mostly medium-scoring outcomes.

That goes to show you two things – offenses are a little farther along than defenses right now, and we’re still figuring out which defenses are for real (Arizona is for sure) and which ones are impostors (Redskins?).

So now we turn our attention to FanDuel lineups for the upcoming weekend, with a note about those thinking about playing in Thursday’s games also.

Week 4 FanDuel Lineups For Cash Games

This is my take on what a good cash games (50/50s, Double-Ups and Head-to-Heads) lineup will look like for Week 4 FanDuel games.

Thursday night: Baltimore at Pittsburgh

My suggestion for Thursday night’s game between the Ravens and Steelers is to fade most of the big stars. With Big Ben Roethlisberger out and Michael Vick in, it’s tough to trust Antonio Brown. But you have to figure a lot of the Thursday night action will be lineups loaded up with Brown. But over the past three seasons, one of the two teams has scored more than 20 points just four times (out of six games), with both teams scoring 20 or fewer points in eight other times. Under two touchdowns for each, in a low-scoring game, with Le’Veon Bell fresh from suspension – avoid Brown because of the cost. For traditional Fantasy owners, he’s still a must-play, of course, but my FanDuel money is going toward A.J. Green, Odell Beckham Jr. or Julio Jones instead.

Week 4 FanDuel LineupsQB – Andy Dalton is on fire and the Chiefs have been the worst defense against Fantasy quarterbacks this season.

RB1 –I like Gore picking up where he left off last week against a Jaguars defense that allowed four rushing touchdowns to the Patriots in Week 3.

RB2 – With LeSean McCoy possibly out this weekend, I’ll roll the dice on former FSU running back Karlos Williams against a Giants defense that ranks among the bottom 10 against running backs.

WR1 – Odell Beckham Jr. is ready to break out with one of his 12-catch/150-yard/2-TD games against a Bills defense that’s giving up the third-most Fantasy points to wide receivers this year.

WR2 – Randall Cobb (shoulder) should get even more love in Week 4 against the 49ers with Davante Adams sidelined. You could also lean on James Jones and Ty Montgomery, if you felt so inclined and wanted to go cheaper.

WR3 – The assumption is that Darrelle Revis will put Jarvis Landry on Revis Island this weekend, allowing plenty of opportunities for Mathews to have his third consecutive 100-yard game.

TE – Rob Gronkowski is on a bye!?! Who allowed this!?!?!?! I actually really like Jimmy Graham this week against the Lions, but I’m going with an even better matchup between Martellus Bennett and the Raiders defense. Tight ends are killing Oakland, including Gary Barnidge and his 100-yard Week 3 effort.

K – Josh Scobee is the only player I’m leaning on in the Thursday games, as this should be a low-scoring affair per usual.

Defense – The Cardinals defense should have its way with Nick Foles and a Rams running game without an identity.

Good luck with your Week 4 FanDuel lineups!
