Early Week 3 FanDuel Lineup For Daily Fantasy Football

Earlier today, I jumped on the phone with host Chris Meaney at FNTSY.com, Fantasy Sports Network, and I shared with him my early look at a Week 3 FanDuel Lineup for Daily Fantasy Football.

So I thought I’d share that lineup with my readers over here, too. I’ll also drop in the YouTube video of our phone call, so you can see all the great work they’re doing over there. Nando Di Fino covers Draft Kings and Chris Meaney does a mean job covering FanDuel games.

One thing I’d like to point out as we put Week 2 behind us and start looking ahead to Week 3 on FanDuel. I took a look at the Vegas over/under lines and found something we haven’t seen this season so far – no games are expected to total 50 or more points this week!

Not only that, but there aren’t any games expected to score 40 or fewer points, either!

  • PHI at NYJ (-2.5) – 48.5
  • IND (-4.5) at TEN – 48
  • JAC at NE (-13.5) – 48
  • KC at GB (-7) — 48
  • PIT (-1) at STL – 47.5
  • SD at MIN (-1.5) – 45
  • NO at CAR (-3) – 45
  • CIN at BAL (-2.5) – 44.5
  • ATL (-1) at DAL – 44.5
  • DEN (-3) at DET – 44.5
  • BUF at MIA (-3) – 44
  • WAS at NYG (-4) — 43.5
  • SF at ARI (-6) – 43.5
  • CHI at SEA (-14) –
  • OAK at CLE (-3.5) – 41.5
  • TB at HOU (-6.5) – 40.5

What this means, I think, is that we’re going to see some big scores that no one is expecting – and possibly some very low scores (looking at your Raiders and Browns).

Early Week 3 FanDuel Lineup

This is my very, very early take on what a good cash games (50/50s, Double-Ups and Head-to-Heads) lineup will look like for Week 3 NFL games on FanDuel.

Week 3 FanDuel Lineup

With $300 to spare, I probably could’ve considered a better kicker, but I like the extra points for long field goals for Kyle Brindza.

QB – Tyrod Taylor’s feet and salary make him my favorite play here, with Carson Palmer and Eli Manning options as well.

RB1 – Jamaal Charles is top three in touches, and for cash games, that’s gold, plus only the Browns have allowed more rushing yards per game than the Packers so far. (I also considered Marshawn Lynch here.)

RB2 – Danny Woodhead sees action in the run game, the passing game and even some goal-line work – what’s not to love at that price? (I also considered Arizona’s David Johnson here, as he is the first rookie in NFL history to score a rushing touchdown, receiving touchdown and a return touchdown in his first two NFL games.)

WR1 – Julio Jones is my big money buy, as only Julian Edelman has been thrown to more this season.

WR2 – Terrance Williams will be playing catchup with the Falcons, and he’ll likely be QB Brandon Weeden’s top target, especially if Jason Witten doesn’t play. I also considered Cole Beasley for $1,100 cheaper than Williams, but he doesn’t get into the end zone.

WR3 – Eddie Royal was my last player in the lineup, but if Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) doesn’t play, Royal sees a ton of targets against Seattle. If Jeffery does play, he’ll likely get CB Richard Sherman on him, opening up chances for Royal.

TE – Rob Gronkowski has four touchdown catches in two games – and I really like touchdowns.

K – Kyle Brindza has a cannon for a leg (made a 55-yarder and missed a 52-yarder among his five field-goal attempts in Week 2. I like the Bucs offense to move the ball between the 20s.

Defense – The Jets defense gets a homecoming after a huge Monday night win, and they’ll face a puzzled Sam Bradford and a very weak running game.
